The Jerzy Haber Institute of Catalysis and Surface Chemistry, Polish Academy of Sciences, has announced the results of the Andrzej Pomianowski and Jerzy Haber Awards for the best master’s theses.
The Andrzej Pomianowski Award recognizes outstanding master’s theses in chemistry, physics, and interdisciplinary fields at the intersection of chemistry and biology, chemistry and physics, or physics and biology, focusing on surface physicochemistry and interfacial phenomena.
In the third edition of the competition, Mgr Gabriela Smaga was awarded first place (ex aequo) for her thesis titled: “Activity of Semiconductor Coatings in the Formation and Photocatalytic Decomposition of Biofilms and Model Protein Deposits.” Her work was supervised by Dr. Przemysław Łabuz.
