Marcin Kobielusz earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Jagiellonian University in Kraków. In 2012, he successfully defended his master’s thesis, “Nanocrystalline Zinc Sulfide in Photocatalytic Carboxylation.” That same year, he embarked on his doctoral studies under the guidance of Prof. Wojciech Macyk. Between 2012 and 2015, Marcin worked as a contractor on the FNP TEAM project (TEAM/2012-9/4) titled “Activation of Small Molecules in Photocatalytic Systems.” In 2013 and 2014, he gained international experience through internships at the University of Bari, Department of Chemistry, Bari, Italy. In 2016, Marcin successfully defended his doctoral dissertation entitled “Activation of C1 Molecules in Photocatalytic Systems: The Influence of Electronic Structure on the Processes.” Subsequently, from 2016 to 2018, he served as an assistant at Jagiellonian University. In 2019, he was a visiting researcher at the School of Computing, Engineering and Mathematics at Western Sydney University. He was a postdoc in the TEAM project “In quest of a more efficient quantum solar energy exploitation in energy downhill and uphill photocatalytic processes”. He currently works as an Assistant professor at Jagiellonian University. He is the author of 36 papers and book chapters (cited ca. 940 times, h = 18).
