The past year has been an exciting and productive time for our group, marked by significant scientific achievements, new collaborations, and important milestones.

🔬 Research & Publications
In 2025, we published at least 15 scientific articles, including a cover paper in ACS Applied Energy Materials on W-doped BiVO₄ photoanodes. Our work continues to advance the field of solar energy conversion and sustainable hydrogen production.

Projects & Funding
We are proud to be part of the M-ERA NET project “Renewable Energy via Sustainable Hydrogen” (RESH), led by Prof. Wojciech Macyk on the Polish side. In addition, Marcin Kobielusz was awarded a grant within the Miniatura programme.

Team Growth & Achievements
This year, we welcomed Dr. Ali Can Güler as a postdoctoral researcher.
We also celebrated important academic milestones:

  • Krystin Mróz – PhD defense 🎓

  • Maria Adamska – MSc completion 🎓

  • Aleksandra Kopacz – BSc defense 🎓

👏 Congratulations to Wiktoria Adamowicz on receiving the Best Poster Prize at the FuNaM-5 workshop!

🎤 Outreach & Scientific Activity
Our research reached a broader audience through:

  • A radio interview on solar hydrogen production

  • Invited talks, including a presentation on green energy technologies at the Małopolska Regional Group for Hydrogen Technologies

We actively presented our results at numerous international conferences and key national events, strengthening our visibility in the scientific community.

🤝 Collaboration & Community
We continued strong international collaborations, including partnerships with institutions in Slovenia, Belgium, and Lithuania. We also hosted guests from academia and government, as well as interns from Université Paris-Saclay.

Looking Ahead
After a dynamic year full of achievements, we are moving forward with new ideas, energy, and motivation for 2026!

Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this year so successful!
