Tetiana Tatarchuk obtained a master’s degree in chemistry at the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University (Ivano-Frankivsk, UKRAINE) in 2001. In 2005, she defended her PhD thesis. Since 2005, she has been working at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University as an Assistant Professor (Department of Chemistry). She is a leader of the project “Engineering of metal oxide catalysts with activity control function for hydroxyl radical water disinfection” (Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, 2021-2023). She was a responsible investigator in 3 projects funded by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine: “The creation of new sorbents for heavy metals and strontium adsorption from water environment” (2017-2019), “Metal oxide magnetically controlled nanostructures for environmental and biomedical applications” (2018-2020), “Heterostructured nanoscale photocatalysts based on doped titanium dioxide” (2020-2022). Responsible investigator for the industrial project “Composite building materials based on cement and fly ash from thermal power plant” (2018-2020, Ivano-FrankivskCement plant). Dr. T. Tatarchuk was a co-leader of the Polish-Ukrainian project “Photocatalytic hybrid systems for water purification” (2020-2021) together with Prof. W. Macyk (Jagiellonian University, Kraków). She was employed as a research professor at the Faculty of Chemical Technology and Engineering, Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology (Bydgoszcz, Poland, 2019) and as a visiting professor at the Faculty of Chemistry, Jagiellonian University (Kraków, Poland, 2021). In 2020, she received the award from L’Oreal-UNESCO “For Women in Science” (Ukraine). In 2020 – 2023, she is in the TOP 2% of the most cited scientists in the world. In July 2022, Tetiana Tatarchuk was granted a project from NCN (Poland) (dedicated to Ukrainian scientists) for one year to continue her scientific research related to photocatalytic and catalytic water treatment at the Faculty of Chemistry, Jagiellonian University. Dr. T. Tatarchuk has published over 96 articles and book chapters (cited ca. 4200 times, h = 39).
