Cooperation

International cooperation

Chaiyasit Phawa’s one-year stay in our group has come to an end. It was a scientifically fruitful collaboration. We say goodbye and hope for further fruitful cooperation in the future.

Grant

OPUS 23 project granted

Professor Wojciech Macyk received a grant in the OPUS 23 competition. The project Photocatalytic and photoelectrocatalytic coatings with a gradient composition, investigated by Prof. Wojciech Macyk, is aimed to develop photoactive coatings with a gradient variable composition that would promote better separation of photoinduced charges.

Cooperation

Scientific cooperation

We are establishing new cooperation with the University of Cologne. Dr. Tabari spent a week in the laboratories of Prof. Sanjay Mathur. Prof. Macyk gave a short presentation.

Solar energy utilisation in shape- and redox-engineered photocatalytic systems

Conference

SPEA11

Few members of our group attended the 11th European meeting on Solar Chemistry and Photocatalysis: Environmental Applications (SPEA11), held in Turin, Italy, on June 6th – 10th 2022. We have presented 4 lectures and 5 posters. We are now back in Poland with new knowledge and ideas for future work!

Grant

A grant to continue research

Dr. Tetiana Tatarchuk, associate professor at the Department of Chemistry and director of the Didactic and Scientific Center for Materials Science and Nanotechnology at the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University in Ivano-Frankivsk won a grant from the National Science Center for researchers from Ukraine to continue their research at the Polish research centers. Dr Tetiana Tatarchuk will continue research into new heterogeneous catalytic reactions based on advanced oxidation processes that can be used for water treatment. The project will cover the synthesis of new, active materials, their characterization and catalytic tests.
